This angel is an original, one of a kind, art doll.
The 21st Peace Angel was conceived and her design fully formed serveral years ago
when I saw an orange and purple fish in a friend's aquarium. Her detachable base,
a Mariner's Compass quilt design, is 15 inches in diameter. She is 19 inches
tall, and weighs 2.5 pounds.
While sculpting I also did some research. I was pleased to discover that shells with
purple interiors are highly prized, some fish do inhabit discarded shells and Pisces
is all about feelings and emotions.
The most astonishing thing I found was that shells, fish, water and angels along with
the colors purple and orange, are all symbols of divinvty and spirituality, and that
the Angel as fish represents the Divine Messenger who submerges deep into the
ocean of emotions to find the place of our Inner Peace!
